Congress will vote on medical marijuana in
the coming weeks. When the U.S. House considers the
Commerce-Justice-State appropriations bill, Rep. Maurice Hinchey (D-NY)
will offer an amendment on the House floor that would prevent the DEA
from wasting taxpayer money undermining state medical marijuana laws.
The amendment would prohibit the U.S. Department of Justice from
prosecuting patients who use medical marijuana in compliance with state
law.

Republican-controlled House - it failed. We have reason to believe that
we can inspire a very different outcome in this year's vote... if we can
educate new members of Congress, if we can generate grassroots support,
