These plants by the way are what was left over when American farmers were growing Hemp and it's still growing year after year for all these years.. Marijuana is planted and only grow the females.) & a host of other products that can be made from the Hemp Plant

Hemp is the Cause of Civilization. Hemp was first found growing on the slopes of the Himalaya's and in the Altai Mountains to the north. In those days man was a hunter gatherer. He found out that he could stay in one place if he could grow grasses.

Where man camped out at there would be a huge pile of garbage nearby and when the pile got too big they would move. (much like the Indians of North America did) They didn't know it but they were leaving evidence of their existance.

Man discovered Cannabis Hemp, found it to be nutritious and also found that the fiber in the stalks was very strong (the strongest "NATURAL FIBER" on the Planet) and could be used for many things like Rope, which could be made into nets for the capture of animals and fish for food. Man spread Hemp and its seeds around and the rest is history. Wallah, We have Civilization.

Unlike the Opium Poppy and the other popular plant Coca, which have only one use the Cannabis Plant or Marijuana has many. The Coca Plant leaves were made to be chewed and the goo from the Opium Poppy Plant flower was made to be smoked. It is the Bastardization of these plants wherein lies the problem.

The pharmaceutical companies make powder for pills and capsulization. The side effects (affects is a better word because it affects you) are horrendous in some cases.

I have had bad effects from Elavil, Triavil, Benedril, Tegretol. All used to control the Neuropic Pain in my feet caused by Diabetic Neuropathy and the ringing in my ears. Truthfully Tegretol worked alittle whereas the others do not AND they all have bad side effects for me. I don't know how anybody could take that stuff all the time. I told the Dr. at the Clinic that Tegretol worked, but I couldn't handle the side effects so I would continue to use what has always given me pain relief with no side effects, Marijuana, medical marijuana.

Getting back to Hemp; The DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) has proposed a ban on Hemp products that can be eaten, not worn or used as soap, just the edible part. The reason, they said at first, was because of a new interpretation of the law concerning The Controlled Substances Act regarding Cannabis Hemp. The Act is thirty years old now and needs some updating, but with fighting all these terrorists, well you see what I mean. Anyhow, the DEA's Interpretation is that "ANY" THC at all, even TRACE AMOUNTS of THC, a schedule one drug, making it illegal.

We were outraged and then pointed out to them, very quickly, that there is Trace opium in poppy seed bagels, but you don't worry about that and there is Trace Alcohol in all fruit juices due to natural fermentation, but you don't worry about that, but you're worried about Hemp. Huh?

Hemp doesn't have any THC in it, that's why they call it Hemp. It's known to contain less than 1.5% down to zero % THC. It's used for food (nutrition) and although related, does not give the user a psychoactive "HIGH" that marijuana is known for (to obtain a psychoactive high there must be at least 2 or 3 % THC.) Marijuana / Cannabis contains about 4% at the bottom ("US Government Brand" and 20% at the top, but don't worry about this, you just have to smoke less because the stronger it is in THC and Cannabinoids the less you have to smoke to Titrate yourself to your level.) along with its medicinal properties that we are just begginning to re-discover because of its wide spread Recreational use. It is also used for clothes, paper, bio-mass, rope etc. and is well known for its nutritional values.

Methinks 'tis the Pharmaceutical companies, petroleum plastic makers,(all those plastic bags in the garbage dump that will almost never degrade versus bio-degradable plastic made from the inside of the Hemp stalk that contains what they call cellulose ) energy companies and the gauntlet of other industries that already participate in our economy for the money

The DEA thought about that for awhile and then told us it was because they were getting mixed results in drug tests. Drug tests? Marijuana, Cannabis, Medical Marijuana aren't drugs, it is a "home remedy" at most and should be left out of the War On Drugs (WOD). This is not a powder, made by a pharmaceutical company, it's natural. Other than that why would you want to prohibit what has been legal all over the world for centuries and was actually grown here in America for years. Farmers were forced to grow Hemp during the second world war. Now it's illegal? Well to make a long story short, the DEA gave us a forty day grace period while they think about it, but we still have to fight for it. We have to write letters, make phone calls. We have to protest their actions. Join a group, any group for Hemp and get involved. Your voice will make a difference.
