Random drug testing is the most effective format
for drug testing and is increasing in use by a growing number of
corporations, drug rehab centers, prisons, the military, police
and fire departments, government agencies, and more recently,
schools. Currently, the random drug test method is used in 23 of
the 50 United States. Random drug tests may also be used
on teens by their parents, or mandated to be performed at
school.
A major objective of a
random drug test is deterrence, as the threat of detection is
much higher versus other testing methods. Various random
selection methods are used, ranging from drawing names out of a
hat to using random number generators. The random selection
methodology is often legally questionable because it is
difficult to prove that an individual was not targeted.
For example, an employer paying a Third Party Administrator to
make random selections could easily instruct the administrator
to select an individual. Government-mandated testing
requires a scientifically provable method of randomization,
although there are no government regulations about tamper-proof
selection records. Any procedure without tamper-proof
records is open to legal challenge because an employer cannot
prove that the subject was not targeted.
The goal of random
drug testing is to discourage drug use among employees, inmates,
or students by not telling anyone who or when or where they are
to be tested in advance. However, critics claim that
random drug testing introduces a presumption of guilt, and is a
violation of privacy if the drug user is not actually
intoxicated during working hours. In addition, random testing is
more likely to catch
cannabis
users, since
THC metabolites are fat soluble and have a longer duration
in the body than those of many other drugs. Because of this, it
can indirectly encourage the use of much more dangerous and
harmful drugs that are excreted from the body faster.
Let's Take a Look At Some Random Drug Testing Types.
Basically there is little difference between a blood, urine
or a saliva analysis. The analysis types all look for small concentrations
of contaminates, called metabolites, that can be used to determine which
specific products have been used.
The body naturally stores metabolites in the fatty cells and
fast growing cells in your body. These metabolites leach out into the blood over
time and are expelled mostly through the urinary tract.
Metabolites stay in the fat for different periods of time
causing you to fail an analysis many weeks or months in the future. Your
fat content, activity level and your metabolism all have a major impact on how
long chemicals can be detected in your system.
Being your hair is a fast growing tissue it also stores
metabolites. This is why a hair analysis can detect metabolites for an
extended period of time. Trace amounts of metabolites become entrapped in the
core of the hair as it grows out from the body. These metabolite residues cannot
be washed, bleached or flushed out of the hair follicles and are stable over a
long period of time. It takes approximately 5 days for metabolites to show
up in a person's hair.
Urine Drug Testing
Urinalysis is the most commonly used and
most inexpensive from of drug testing. While most drugs will be washed out of
your system after a few days, marijuana will test positive for several weeks
after the last use. This is because THC is not water-soluble and will actually
"stick" to the fatty tissues in your body. Luckily, our Same Day and Permanent
cleansing programs can clean out the residue. Just stay clean for two days and
our products will take care of everything else!
Hair Drug Testing
Hair testing can detect all substance
activity in-depth over a long period of time. Whenever a substance enters your
bloodstream, either through ingestion, inhalation, or injection, it deposits a
residue in the hair shaft that remains until the hair is cut. Kind of like rings
on a tree, whatever substance history you have is recorded in your hair. The
longer your hair, the more history they have to use against you. Fortunately,
our line of cleansing shampoos and other hair products can permanently cleanse
all traces of activity from your hair. So you get two Pass Your Hair Drug Test and keep
your hair!
Blood Drug Testing
Blood testing is the most expensive,
thorough and rare form of testing. It is usually used by high-profile agencies
and insurance companies. That means that if you're getting a blood test, it's
probably for the opportunity of your dreams! In order to cleanse the body of all
toxins you must go through a four to six day program involving a special diet,
regulated fluids, daily supplements, and a final detoxifying solution. The
program comes with precise, user-friendly instructions and you are free to
contact our customer support 24 hours a day if you have any questions. Also
included with the program are two bonus self-tests of your choosing to insure
that your results will be clear.
Saliva Drug Testing
Saliva testing is generally a short-term,
spur of the moment procedure. It can detect recent use of alcohol, marijuana,
meth and cocaine in the chemicals in your mouth. Since this type of test is
often a surprise, your only defense is to be prepared. Our mouthwash will
instantly negate any chemicals in your saliva from registering on the test. If
you have a supply on hand, you can easily evade the surprise saliva test.
Causes of False Positive Drug Testing
The Causes of False Positive Drug Testing
can be attributed to human error and sample contamination. In addition, there
are a number of controlled and uncontrolled substances that will cause a false
positive result; these are some of the reasons why labs will immediately split
your specimen into two samples. Below are some of the many substances to avoid
prior to testing. Take this very seriously, your employer or probation officer
certainly will. The Causes of False Positive Drug Testing run high with the
EMIT, and in some cases this is all it takes to send you to the unemployment
office or a parole/probation revocation hearing. National laboratories state
that the EMIT test is wrong 25% to 30% of the time, and can result in the The
Causes of False Positive Drug Testing from legal substances up to 38% of the
time!
